- A UNIFIED VOICE FOR MISSOURI
-
The number one complaint that voters have about elected officials and candidates of the past is that they have not followed through with their promises nor have they made decisions that were aligned with campaign commitments. The majority of Missourians are angry and discouraged by the far left and far right receiving representation over the majority middle. It is important for a representative to be open and clear about personal views before the people vote for and trust in them. Unjustifiable commitment to limitlessly supporting extreme party views and the preference of willful subjection to the manipulations of high power interest groups are the greatest reasons why institutionalized politicians do not come through for the people of Missouri. Disloyalty compounded with their misguided efforts to maintain an aristocratic position instead of fighting with a sense of duty and honor toward the needs of our state has caused the people to feel as if their voice does not matter. Currently, the forerunners in both contemporary parties make it their common practice to support their agenda over the voice of the people and shield their actions behind typical spin and promise of progression and preservation.
I want to believe that most representatives start out with the full intention of doing well to remain loyal to the people but hundreds of Missourians have told me that they do not think that most politicians think the way I do and have given up on the belief that their vote has much value. It hurts me every time a fellow Missourian tells me they are not voting because what they have to say is worthless. I generally try to relay a sense of hope and a promise to work hard to change public opinion with my actions first and my undue perseverance to work with other leaders to inspire them to do the same.
- BRIDGING THE GAP
-
Thank you for taking the time to participate in your right to be represented in Washington. Bringing mainstream America to Washington will require each citizen to stand up and demand congressional coordination between political parties. Helping to Bridge the Gap between political parties supports the end of foolish debating based solely on ideology and links respectful listening to the needs of the people.
Bridging the gridlocked representation in the Senate and House begins with your voice and ends with the fulfillment of promises from representatives who stated that they were going to represent the people. “Bridging the Gap”, begins with fighting together on the issues we agree on, implementing legislation based on those agreements first, and then take the time to deliberate our differences.
“Bridging the Gap”, means we should influence each other to being committed to leading the citizens of Missouri with compassion and respect. Everyone deserves to be respected and not continuously promised principles that are only said to appease likely voters. Ideologies that believe that it is expectable to withdraw or turn from truth for fiscal or traditional party security will continue to tell you what you want to hear. Those who choose to take advantage of you when they say they serving you will continue to make light switch decisions to stay one favorable step ahead of each vote. We should all be working together to bringing America back to the principles she was founded on, not lead the nation in circles to appease the roars of extreme voices.
Some Gap Bridging Principles:
· Accountability of action and majority oriented legislation
· Be angry that “Political Correctness” has caused politicians to tell half truths instead of addressing ways to correct shortfalls. Half truths are lies, no matter how you tell the story.
· Follow through with promises and foundational leadership requirements
· Stop past practices of coming to the middle with campaign promises and continuing with extreme left and right wing agendas once elected
· Open channels of communications between contemporary political parties
· Stay familiar with the needs of the people not being addressed by contemporary parties and entertainment based media
· Improve on the effectiveness of government programs currently in place without creating additional programs
· STOP misuse of government funds through Pork and jaded Earmarking
· Require legislation to be available for review and require representatives to read and comprehend legislation before they represent you with a vote
· Enforce and reform standards for reconciling legislation
· Limit the influence of perceived power and stand up for the needs of Missouri first
· Lead by example, “GOD”, Country, Family, Self. No exceptions.
- Representatives need to sacrifice some of their freedoms to protect every one of yours. That’s their “JOB”.
