Straight Talk
“People want to trust in their leaders without concern of betrayal. My first and foremost efforts will always be dedicated toward continuously earning the respect that comes from such a high level of trust. Missourians will always be able to look to me for straight forward leadership practices.”
Regardless of my personal opinion; I pledge to represent the voice of the people of Missouri and mentor other leaders to do the same. Making decisions that support the betterment of the state by aligning our votes in accordance with the voice of the majority of Missourians needs to be the way ahead for our leaders. My openness may not be fully welcomed by many for they will not agree with some small hard-line views that will at time push slightly to the right or left, but I would rather provide upfront understandings of my truthful views and perceptions from the beginning than let down or disappoint any loyal supporters who are counting on my strength and abilities to improve broken bureaucratic programs of interest. In the past, the majority of Missouri voters selected their representatives solely because of the candidate’s party affiliation. Many other voters focused only on topics like abortion, capital punishment, and the definition of marriage. Some Missourians care very much about current issues but do not follow politics closely enough to make their election choices based on the candidate’s legitimate record or stances. So I have openly extended my views on all of these important topics in this section. Foundational topics oftentimes establish ones voting decisions. Please take a moment to think about why it has become important to independently vote for your senatorial representation in 2010. Consider the needs of the state and the nation as to identify the necessity to work together on common issues in Washington. Insure that your vote compliments Missouri’s Hart Land lifestyle. Placing common voting practices aside will insure that you vote for a representative that is truly committed to uniting the common beliefs found in the hearts of our neighbors and the needs of our communities. Being this open often times will drive potential voters away or toward comfort zones such as voting for the party they have always voted for. I have faith in the voters to choose the candidate that is most likely to follow through with promises and that will satisfy their need for a different choice and style of leadership. I am a courageous and candid leader whose commitment and dedication toward providing Missourians foundational representation will set precedence for many others to follow. My greatest promise is to lead with the full understanding that I am expected to hold myself Accountable to the people and honorable traditions of the state of Missouri. “People want to trust in their leaders without concern of betrayal. My first and foremost efforts will always be dedicated toward continuously earning the respect that comes from such a high level of trust. Missourians will always be able to look to me for straight forward leadership practices.”
Abortion I do not believe in abortion. Bipartisanship Party lines have become too thick to cross for many rooted institutionalized representatives. Counterproductive and disrespectful fighting has been juvenile to say the least. Even when our representatives agree with each other they are unable to work together for the greater good of the people. I will cross every line with candid commitment to ensure the needs of Missourian’s are met and that your representative is in the middle of every battle. Missouri needs leaders that will always work together to discover the peoples common threads regardless of their alliances in Washington. Fighting for the majority voice should be a group effort regardless of party and personal opinions. Missourians deserve to be heard and have their representation come together for the greater good of the people as a whole. Our leaders have grown accustomed to listening to your voice but have yet to commit to hearing what you are saying. When in Washington your representatives should band together with hostility in a one team combative posture to defend the needs of Missouri first and then work even harder to unite with all representatives whose states have the same struggles. I believe in self improvement and expect that all leaders will without question attempt to do everything within their power to improve their leadership skills at all times. Admitting to ones mistakes and expressing how to improve so as not to repeat poor performances is a given trait of all true leaders. It is a leader’s honourable duty and worthy responsibility to strive to achieve excellence or get out of the way so someone else can. My relentless and truthful approaches will be extremely effective. I will inspire and mentor others to peruse their duties with passion toward being accountable for ones actions. Every representative should rise with the courage to look every person who comes before them in the eye with humility as well as reverence as to emulate the pride and glory of their countryman. Cap and Trade Current cap and trade will place great hardship on Missouri industry, state infrastructure, as well as our families. We have recently met past cap and trade like requirements and are not in a position to immediately meet these new mandates. Our industry will have to lay people off and our energy bills will continue to inflate. We need to consider the environment in all ventures and with full efforts, but we also have to do it sensibly. We did not make the problems in a day and we definitely cannot afford to go broke trying to fix all of the problems at once. Death Penalty As a society we experience many horrendous acts of crime. I have witness many extremely grievous unspeakable acts against innocence during my time in combat and while serving many communities as a police detective. These fanatical and absolutely evil types of criminals cannot be released back into society. We must maintain laws that ensure that just punishment is received. We are obligated to protect the innocent and we must hold ourselves responsible to ensure that these types of criminals and repeat offenders are not released back into society. Economy The media and political groups desiring extreme changes have whitewashed efforts to boost the economy. This change in the legislative agenda in congress is misdirected because of a desire to achieve one-sided power. The most emergent need for Missourians is focusing on the economy. In some Missouri counties we have reached 14.0 % unemployment and state wide 10% of our people are unemployed. Improving the economy should be the greatest effort in Washington today. Education Any new aid should be based on instructional needs. Empower the teachers and curriculum designers in all educational reform. Give them back the latitude to apply their craft without extensive controls that limit their ability to provide students with comprehensive learning experiences. Most mandated control factors need to be broadened to allow proven learning strategies and teaching technique which have been left behind in many cases. Without this latitude students will continue to become disinterested in learning and graduation rates will continue to decline. As we pursue new ways to improve our education systems we must include at all levels of instruction the implementation of technology and an earnest focus on providing continued education and training to our teachers. Educators are the most important profession in our nation. Give them the tools to succeed. Entitlement Programs Fairness Doctrine Freedom of speech should be protected to the full extent of the constitution. Americans should apply the full magnitude of the definition of respect when exercising their right to free speech in their personal life, and during professional undertakings. Creating a false dilemma to re-enact slanderous decent on the matter of one sided conversations is an extreme that goes beyond socialism and should be considered un-American. Family Values Protecting family values is the greatest need in America today. “Missouri” is more so now than ever before the Heart Land of America. Heartland values rest within the power and sanctity of sound marriages and community fellowship. As globalization becomes a greater factor in the lives of Missourians, perception of American culture must include an awareness of righteousness toward societal choices. Strengthening family values should be the ambition of all countrymen. Fulfilment will be found within all communities as America begins to rebuild and act on contrary lifestyle choices and extreme types of misdirection. Gun Ownership Marriage Marriage provides the foundation to which our children and future leaders base their values and beliefs upon. Problem solving is best described by the principle of not avoiding the extra hard work necessary for good leadership. The most influential and needed leadership in America today is the mentorship found within a marriage. Without contemptuous approaches or judgment we all must strive to envision the lifestyles that unite good leadership and virtuous growth in others. Marriage is between a man and woman and should not be defined any other way. Taxes Sensible spending of your money is the key to keeping taxes fair. The national debt needs to be reduced and balanced budgets should be the way ahead. I believe that we should pay the least amount of taxes needed to get the job done. Tax reductions supporting small business and investors are needed now to support the economy. The economy needs the government to put more money back in the pockets individuals and anyone who is creating jobs for Americans in need. Taxes should support the needs of government and not temporary agendas that pad political powers.
I do not believe in Abortion.
Fair Trade Agreements We must always fight to protect fair trade agreements that do not impose trade requirements that favor lower quality imports or ask our farmers to compromise their products to compete. Missouri farmers provide the world with the high quality foods and agricultural services. They do this through meeting self imposed standards and continuing to finding ways to be more productive. Missouri must be allotted the right to market our products fairly and be able to take full advantage of national and world food demands. Funding Agricultural Programs Constant considerations should be made to increase our nation’s investment in our food production. We need to give homegrown a new name. The ability of our farmers to produce such a high quality product is fascinating. Congress cannot continue to go along with agreements that nickel and dime support to our family farms or that significantly create hardships for future Missouri Farmers. Agriculture is a backbone industry in Missouri. Everyone in our state must support continued agricultural assistance even when our farms are operating with high efficiency. The future of Missouri must include agricultural advancements which are not being rewarded fairly when federal funds are directed elsewhere. Stop cutting agricultural funds. Taxes In today’s economy we must support any tax relief proposals for family farmers and ranchers. Owners of family farms and ranches do not want to pass on hardships to the next generation. Tax exemptions should be the first step in helping Missouri farmers keep the control of their farms and pass down ownership to their children. Additionally we need to continue rewarding farmers for participating in carbon credit like programs.
Capital Punishment (The Death Penalty) in many ways has been supported and rejected by many different religious groups. Influential theologians have guided many great leaders to follow one belief and than the other. As I prayed about all of these ideologies I came to believe that one’s time on earth is a decision that should be left only to “GOD”. Anyone protecting themselves or another from harm that could potentially result in death is the only reason one human should kill another human. Additionally self defence is further defined to include pre-emptive tactics to remove those who proclaimed themselves to be enemies or have made an overt effort or plan to take the lives of others. Capital Punishment should not become actualized through any act of evil. In a time where horrific and grievous crimes happen every day throughout the world and in our own communities I firmly understand the appeal of capital punishment and find it easy to relate to the desire to punish wicked men and woman. However to lead others to do wrong is worse than the crime itself so we cannot substitute hate for righteousness. Punishment in America is weak enough without creating the belief that fear of the death penalty will deter crime. Crime will grow without increased federal support of law enforcement and extensive focus toward prison reform. It is time to get serious about making strong crime prevention policies and law enforcement tactics that influences the minds and souls of those who have yet to commit a crime and those prisoners who may become repeat offenders without effective rehabilitation. Those who have committed grievous harm to others must be held accountable and our policies should support all legal aspects that work toward protecting our communities and insuring adequate sentencing and time served is enforced. The most Important, Top Priority should be to focus on the economy and inspiring industry to increase employment at the highest rate possible. Missouri needs help given to its business Now. There should be no other work done in Washington until this is successful. The media and political interest groups have whitewashed efforts to boost the economy and continue to spin extreme changes that are counterproductive. This has caused misdirected legislative agendas in congress and the American people have lost faith in the Government to influence or stimulate the economy. Americans are still suffering. The most emergent need for Missourians is focusing on the economy. In some Missouri counties we have reached 14.0 % unemployment and state wide 10% of our people are unemployed. Improving the economy should be the greatest effort in Washington today. Strengthen our business and industry so they can employ more Missourians. Do it NOW. Send me EVERY idea you have!!! I will research your ideas, validate your beliefs and participate along with you in writing every representative to let them know it’s time to do their JOBs by acting on your voice and needs.

The product of education is people, not statistics or profitability. Community awareness of the shortfalls created by government involvement has proven to be very low. Most patrons have great faith in the government to provide contemporary stability but have yet to fully understand that educators must be the controlling factor in curriculum design and evaluation practices at all levels of instruction. Questionable ideologies and misguided concepts based on political jargon have created abridged scholastic goals reducing our children’s ability to apply basic concepts upon entering the workforce. Although the aim of “No Child Left Behind” has great merit and success, poor government oversight and misdirected development of evaluation standards compounded by fiscal reward turned the programs aim in the wrong direction. Government standardization methods have blocked the educational field into a corner by placing more focus on preparing for exams which measure more so a student’s ability to memorize definition and facts over cognition and skill. The greatest failure of these types of programs is that success is measured by raw statistics and how much money is awarded. Governmental oversight has become overwhelming in many cases and is limiting outside of the box learning by reducing innovative instructional practices. Most mandated control factors need to be broadened to allow latitude for interjection of learning strategies that provide students with knowledge gained from the experience of learning even when the teaching technique is not measurable by government mandated assessment goals. Without this latitude students will continue to become disinterested in learning and graduation rates will continue to decline. Focusing on educational experiences increases the learner’s general perspective by establishing a conclusive and usable knowledge base. The applicability of the lesson (how to use the knowledge in real life) is of greater value. Government standardization policies remind us to think about whether we want our children to be able to apply learned principles or follow the government plan and only be able to define them. We should not limit instructional adaptabilities needed by teachers to enhance applicability while focusing solely on fact based knowledge. Educators needs to be given the latitude to provide learners with stimulating lessons that inspire aspirations for attending college as well as vocational fields of study that exceed generalized education. Modernization and globalism require all educational fields to promote a broader technical understanding of foundational subject matters. Educators are the most important profession in our nation. Give them the tools to succeed. If you do not contact our representatives and tell them to join the repeal efforts, illegitimate deliberations and pork barrel packing will continue to form Americas Health Care System. If we do not stop and take sufficient time to build functional legislation we will continue to go broke getting very little. Every time the government provides you with everything you need it also takes some of your freedoms and liberties. The economy is linked to every Government program and usually suffers when federal programs limit free trade. This style of making laws just to prove who’s carrying the biggest stick has not accomplished the advertised intent. Additionally it increased the size of government putting us further in debt with little to no payoff. We should have stopped arm wrestling and focused on the economy, putting money back into the pockets of the people, and paying off our dept created by similar congressional shortfalls and disputes. I greatly support any true influence that stems from legitimate cooperation from all representatives regardless of their party. Passing important legislation should always start with what can be agreed upon, and implemented in manageable phases. Disagreements should be worked out in separate legislation, deliberated in fair and reasonable time frames. If this would have been done from the beginning many needy citizens would have already received some care for pennies on the dollar in comparison to what congressional fighting has created. Our problems were not created in a day and we should not try to solve them in a single misguided endeavour. The president displayed his strongest actions since he took office. He asked our representatives to work together to get the country a workable answers on how to provide improved health care to the most needy Americans. Because of the continued use of quid-pro-quo practices and strong arming by senior party members the American people grew very tired of the fighting. The president’s inability to lead a bipartisan effort resulted in the wrongful strong-arming of his original far left objectives. One can never throw money at a problem and expect it to go away. Especially money we do not have. The bottom line is weather tax payers are willing to pay trillions of dollars so that less than ten percent of Americans receive some form of health insurance assistance. As a nation with high values we cannot ignore the need of many Americans for direct medical care. It would be hard to believe that very many Americans would not be willing to provide a helping hand to those who cannot provide for themselves with efficient medical care. The primary goal of this heath care bill was suppose to bring the cost of health care down for everyone and provide improved care to those who cannot provide for themselves. My greatest goal to accomplish and most relentless efforts will go toward uniting all of Missouri’s representation in the future when issues of grandeur like this one arise. These types of issues are too important to allow party influences that work against our state. The more Missouri representatives come together to vote for the needs of our state over high power influences, the closer we will come to regaining your respect. Representatives should welcome; if not plead for, your continued support through criticism and should be thankful for your opinions as well as listen to you over any other voice. The nation can gradually correct the shortfalls in our health care system at a tenth of the cost. I plan to continue to voice Missourians needs and research recovery methods for the health care way ahead. 2010 and 2011 will be crucial for the recovery phase of the residual effects of this bill. Ensure you are voting for candidates who will fight together to recover and mitigate all aspects that will cost the majority of Missourians extra money without getting additional benefits. We need to come together in times of need by supporting sensible actions.
Protecting family values is the greatest need in America today. “Missouri” is more so now than ever before the Heart Land of America. Heartland values lay within the power and sanctity of sound marriages. As globalization becomes a greater factor in the lives of Missourians, perception of American culture must include an awareness of righteousness toward societal choices. Strengthening family values should not be the dilemma of all countrymen it should be our greatest admiration. Fulfilment will be found within all communities as America begins to rebuild and act on contrary lifestyle choices and extreme types of misdirection. Marriage is between a man and woman and should not be defined any other way. However, the sanctity of marriage cannot righteously be defined without recognizing the importance of honest efforts to keep away from maliciously judging those who define marriage in any other manor. For the sacredness of marriage to truly be held in the highest regard by all who wish to legally preserve its purity, disrespectful verdicts of contrary views must not be labelled as blameless decent, even when the uniqueness of a person’s differences is greatly dissimilar from the majority belief. “Marriage provides the foundation to which our children and future leaders base their values and beliefs upon. Problem solving is best described by the principle of not avoiding the extra hard work necessary for good leadership. The most influential and needed leadership in America today is the mentorship found within a marriage. Without contemptuous approaches or judgment we all must strive to envision the lifestyles that unite good leadership and virtuous growth in all Americans.”
The national debt needs to be reduced and balanced budgets should be the way ahead. I believe that we should pay the least amount of taxes needed to get the job done. We should not ponder over what to do with unspent tax dollars. We should pay down our dept or give it back to the people. Right now we should do a little of both. Although they seem to be the fairest way to pay taxes to many, to ask the American people to support such a change with the current congress would be a very risky venture. With the fighting between political parties, and many politicians more concerned about the power of their position instead of representing you, creating either of these tax systems “today” would make the health care bill look like a traffic ticket compared to the prison sentence we would find ourselves suffering through. Vote for a bunch of people like me in November and we can easily make a sensible tax system. Generating more government income now will allow for more spending without forcing congress to take responsibility for current debt. Most importantly, while waiting for and during development of a new tax system, we must clean house and trim away as much fraud waste and abuse hidden within government spending, so we can better (earnestly) analyze how to set the percentage for a new tax system. Contrary to the belief of many institutionalized representatives, a billion dollars is not a drop in the bucket!
The product of education is people, not statistics or profitability. We should do whatever it takes to insure that our teachers have what they need to make immediate improvements to failing programs and to prepare our children for the betterment of their future. Put these decisions in the hands of the state leadership as much as possible.
All programs should be designed to facilitate a temporary helping “hand up” NOT a “hand out”. The meaning of entitlements to many means I deserve. The only thing we deserve in this world is Respect. Everyone needs to earn their way. Government assistance should always be temporary and provide those in need with a way to help them selves in the future. Respect is a two way concept.
I own a lot of guns and enjoy using them for target practice and hunting. Gun control laws must continue to apply sensible reason. The right to own guns must be protected. We must protect the Second Amendment.Future Legislation
Missouri should lead the way in fighting to continue to fund the expansion of renewable fuels and electricity standards. Community-based energy development will ensure our power stays locally owned and is the best way ahead for our farmers and our rural communities.
Tax reductions supporting small business and investors are needed to support the economy now. The economy needs the government to put more money back in the individuals’ pockets and the pockets of those Americans creating new jobs and businesses. Taxes should support the needs of government and not temporary agendas that pad political powers.
The most popular question people ask me is am I going to raise or lower taxes?
The majority of Missourians express that they are not opposed to paying taxes when the revenue is spent in the manner in which it was intended. Paying for growing government spending is not a reason for raising taxes nor should spending exceed current income. First we must stop creating more debt. Finding ways to pay off our debt without raising or lowering our taxes should be the focus. We all would like to satisfy wants but going broke to get little is not smart spending.
It’s become very popular for people to ask me about a flat tax and the fair tax.
I have not always supported either of these tax systems because of how they were packaged. I realize if the legislation is put together well, both of these systems could benefit everyone and will establish a true sense of fairness. I would bend over backwards to participate in the development of either of system. I say it to you this way, because if either system is made to be complicated or laden with sleight of hand back doors and loop holes than we are better off with reforming what we have now. For the either system system to be beneficial and fair, congress will have to apply the “KISS” (Keep it Simple Senator) principle.
